Board Members Complete Philanthropy Together -Launchpad for Creation of Community Partners’ Giving Circle
Philanthropy Together is a global initiative that scale and strengthen the collective giving movement through the power of giving circles. Sara Lomelin, who is Executive Director of Philanthropy Together, remarked, “With each Giving Circle that is created, Philanthropy Together is furthering its mission to replicate true meaning of democracy by forming a just society for everyone through giving.”
The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation Awards Funds
Community Partners received a Community Partnership Grant from The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation for publication of a table-top book, Philanthropy in Communities of African American Descent.
Philanthropy in Communities of African American Descent will provide brief historical stories and photographs and artistic renderings of African Americans’ philanthropic efforts from individual families’ perspectives in Louisiana.

FOUNDER OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS SPOTLIGHTED
Sharon Walker McCall, who is Founder of Community Partners and Vice President on Board of Directors and Resource and Fund Development’s Senior Counsel, Trainer & Researcher, was spotlighted by Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC), Southern University—Baton Rouge. LSBDC recognized 101 Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders in celebration of National Women’s Month in March, focusing on Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Education. Ada Womack-Bell, who is Director of LSBDC said, “I am inspired by number of women business owners and vast services that are offered. LSBDC is committed to developing expertise of businesses in Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes.”
Board Leadership Announced
Stewart Q. McCall, who is Business Partner of Structural Heart and Interventional Cardiology with Boston Scientific, was elected as President of Community Partners’ Board of Directors. Joining Mr. McCall in a leadership role include: Sharon Walker McCall, MS, who is Founder, will serve as Vice President; Tina Sumler, MBA, who is an Accountant, Entrepreneur and Consultant with Sumler Professional Accounting, will serve as Secretary; and Latosha Isaac, who is Founder of KALM Enterprises, LLC, will serve as Treasurer.
Stewart Quincy McCall, President of Community Partners’ Board of Directors commented, “This is a milestone in establishment of services and programs that will be offered by Community Partners. I am honored to serve in a leadership capacity for this organization and build relevant programming.”
